You can back up data to an offsite location, and also to an appliance at your own site for quicker recovery time. Using unique replication technology, Iron Mountain LiveVault Service™ Agent software copies only the data that changes on your protected system, including open files such as databases and email servers, minimizing server load and bandwidth requirements.
Recovering your data is just as easy. Whether you need to recover your entire computer or to restore a few files, Iron Mountain LiveVault Service™ enables you to choose the most recent version, or an historic version using Iron Mountain LiveVault Service™’s patented Time-Slice Restore technology. Either way, you select the files to be restored from a tree file system view. If you are using an appliance, you have the convenience of restoring any amount of data quickly. You can add computers, configure your backups, request restores, and check the status of your backup and restore operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from any computer, anywhere.

- With human error being the most likely cause of a loss of data, wouldn't it be great if you could restore a file at exactly how it looked at a certain point in time? With the Iron Mountain LiveVault Service, you can. You can restore a file, or files, as it looked at a certain point in time AND you can restore that file, or files, from multiple points in time so you can determine which is the appropriate version.
All of this sounds great, so how much does it cost?
Well, that depends. Please contact us so we can get some background information from you so that we can give you a realistic estimate based on your data protection needs.
- It depends on the number of servers that you need to backup.
- It depends on the amount of data that need to be backed up.
- The minimum amount is 5 GB. Just to give you a rough idea of costs, at 5 GB, the cost per GB to backup is a maximum of $28. if you have more than 2 TB, the cost per GB is $9. Your actual cost will be somewhere in between this range.
- It depends on how long you need to keep the backed up data.
- There are plans for 30 days, 1 year, and 7 years.
- It depends on whether you want to buy the TurboRestore appliance.
- Are there any discounts?
- There is a 10% discount if you sign up for the 3 year contract as opposed to the 2 year contract.
- If you prepay for an entire year, there is a 15% discount. Otherwise, you are billed monthly for the service.
